SAR Active Calibration

It can provide high-precision radiometric calibration services for spaceborne SAR systems in different bands.


Service Introduction

SAR multi-band active calibration can perform high-precision radiometric calibration for spaceborne SAR systems in different bands. It can be used for scientific tasks such as relative radiation calibration, absolute radiation calibration and radiation quality evaluation of SAR satellites in different bands (geometric calibration, radiation calibration and beam pointing measurement).

Receive Mode


  • Only receive radar signals, the continuous working time can be set separately for envelope data and IQ data

Forwarding Mode


  • Corresponding to 40-55dBsm RCS
  • For radiometric calibration and image quality assessment
  • No signal acquisition
  • HH forwarding is possible for L band
  • VV forwarding can be performed on the Ka band
  • HH forwarding, VV forwarding, HV forwarding or VH forwarding for C and X bands

Receive/Forward Mode


  • Receive signal acquisition while forwarding

L-band center frequency and signal bandwidth range: 1.26GHz±100MHz;

C-band center frequency and signal bandwidth range: 5.4GHz±120MHz;

X-band center frequency and signal bandwidth range: 9.6GHz±600MHz;

Ka-band center frequency and signal bandwidth range: 35.75GHz±600MHz;

Stability: better than 0.2dB;

Adjustable radar cross-sectional area: 40dB~55dB, 5dB steps;

Nominal accuracy of radar cross-sectional area: better than 0.2dB;

Radar cross-sectional area stability: better than 0.2dB;

Automatic Angle Reflector Calibration

Service Introduction

Used for SAR satellite geometric calibration/radiometric calibration, quality evaluation, etc.


Emposat

The automatic angle reflector can form a strong brightness area on the SAR satellite image, and it is easy to accurately extract the "bright spot" center, which can provide high-precision control point information for the geometric calibration of the SAR system.

Emposat

Emposat automatic angle reflector calibration equipment is installed in the desert area with relatively stable scattering characteristics in Zhongwei, Ningxia, and is arranged in a grid pattern; the east-west interval is 1km, 2km, 3km, and 9km; the north-south interval is about 5km, and the specific location is shown in the figure.
